The Cabot Pirates Rugby Football Club is a team of players under the
age of 19 years old who come together to play the wonderful sport of
Rugby Union. Rugby is the second largest sport in the world, and the
largest contact sport in the world, above even American Football.
The team was created in 2005 and got off to a quick start winning
their first game against Cordova, 27-0. The team has since gone on to
win State Championships once and almost the entire team traveled to New
Orleans with the Arkansas Select Side of rugby to represent Arkansas in
the South Championships of high school rugby.
Currently the team is coached by Scott Trower, an alumni of Arkansas
State Rugby, and assisted by Jaron Davis, an alumni of the original
Cabot Pirates squad.
